Thanks to Nicholas Sparks, many classic love stories have been penned in North Carolina but, arguably, none was as exciting as the one authored this weekend at Sedgefield Country Club by the 2016 Ryder Cup Captain and Tarheel State native, Davis Love III. The Bridgestone Golf tour team member used impressive iron shots and clutch putting to fire a Sunday 64, coming from 4‐shots back to win the 2015 Wyndham Championship. In his victory, Love played Bridgestone's TOUR B330 golf ball* and showcased the brand's e Glove.
The win was Love's third of his career in Greensboro and the 21st total PGA TOUR victory to date in his illustrious career. For the tournament, Love amassed an impressive 17‐under par total, bolstered by 2 eagles in the final round, to win by a shot. Love's first title since 2008 vaulted him into the 2015 FedEx Cup Playoffs and assured him of a return trip to the 2016 Masters.
"We could not be happier for Davis, getting a win like this, in comeback fashion, in his birth state," said Corey Consuegra, Senior Director of Marketing ‐ Bridgestone Golf, Inc. "Davis has praised the performance of Bridgestone golf balls since joining our team and has played a critical role in the development of the Tour B330, so we are excited to see it play a small part in his win."
